I sense a precious moment of stillness and reception, here, as the seasons shift, and feel drawn to drop a few lines, mostly, just to reach out with a hello.
Hello!
And if you're surprised to hear from me here again because you thought I had fallen off the map, I understand. But I promise, I persist. And all is well.
Innerlife, the clinic, is heading into its 15th year; my practice is heading into its 21st. And I am actually not sure if I could love this work more, but I'm game to try. In fact, I'm going to try.
This work, as always, is a practice, not a perfect. It is shaped and sculpted by the climate and weather patterns of this time, the various bodies of work I am/have been mentored by, the ecology of this little spot of earth, my own inner compass, and of course, by you: souls I have/have had the privilege of knowing and working with.
As I continue to weave my way through various fields of health care and human development, deepening and clarifying my soul/work/practice, I find myself drawn, at this time, once again (as I was 20 years ago), to a deeper mentorship of patterns that are reflected in/through the body, and through another integrative system of healing/wholing. So this fall I am beginning a diploma in acupuncture, here in this place/on these lands, at Pacific Rim College.
I am enlivened by (and, naturally nervous about) the intense ride of another steep learning curve. But mostly, something deeper stirs with thoughts of discovering how a traditional Chinese medicine lens might offer insight into my work of helping others as we all navigate the wild terrain of soul and life's developmental passages, as a human in this time.
As always, I invite you to journey with me.
In practical terms, very little changes. However, to accommodate the addition of my school schedule, my clinic hours from September until the middle of December will be on Mondays (full day - with a 9am option available, if needed - feel free to ask for this), Wednesdays at 5 pm, and possibly some Saturdays (also feel free to ask for this).
Please feel free to check out my online schedule here. And if you'd like to remind yourself of my work, or explore it further, my website is here.
And please feel free to touch base, at any time. I would love to hear from you!
